Michael Parent

School Programs

Since 1977, Michael Parent has been  performing stories and songs throughout the United States. School assembly programs are one of this dynamic performer's specialties.

Michael's school shows include songs  accompanied by various instruments, folktales, and an original story  (sometimes including juggling) that addresses issues related to growing  up -- e.g. dealing with bullies, siblings, friends, peer pressure, etc.

Stories are generally aimed at a  particular age group. So it's usually best to limit the range of any  audience to two or three grades: kindergarten through second grade;  third through fifth; sixth through eighth; ninth and tenth; eleventh  and twelfth, etc.

The number of students in each assembly  is determined by the age group, the physical setting, the school's population,  school traditions and policies, and the availability of a good sound  system.

"I liked your story a lot. I think  you are very funny and you have a great sense of humor. I would like  to thank you for coming to our school and telling us the best story  I ever heard."
-- Your friend, Timmy (age 9)
